Studio Note Vol 007: A Letter from the Studio + Your Free July Wallpaper Inside

Hi friend,

It’s late as I write this; just past midnight, and I’m thinking about how July always sneaks up with so much goodness. It’s my birthday month, and honestly, it’s already feeling like a good one. The weather’s been kind (hot in some places, I know!), but here, it’s been lovely.

There’s something about this time of year that makes me feel hopeful, like anything could bloom if you let it.

They say when you start to really appreciate the small things, you make room for even more good. And today, one of those things I’m grateful for is you. Thank you for being here, for following along this journey, and for reading these little notes from the studio.

Recently, I was out at the park shooting some content, and in the middle of it, I realized I hadn’t shared much behind-the-scenes or process work in a while. So I sat in my car and mapped out a  7-day series that shows how I turn my art into textiles.

Since you love textiles, prints, and color, I think you’ll really enjoy it. It’s been beautiful to revisit the process, watching an idea take shape and eventually become something you can hold in your hands. You can follow along over on Instagram @breatheliveexplore. Come see how it all unfolds.

And an exciting update - we have a new stockist.

The Market Kitchen Store at Granville Island, Vancouver now carries our goods! So if you’re ever around Granville Island, stop by the boutique and say hello (and maybe spot some BLE pieces in the wild).

Ah! And yes—the studio’s been bursting with color lately, with new paintings in the works. I can’t wait to share it all with you soon.

Also, in case you missed it, there are free wallpapers each month! July’s theme is all about positivity. These are little visual love notes; encouraging reminders you can keep on your phone or share with a friend. You can download them here.

There’s more coming from the studio soon, and I can’t wait to show you. Until then, take care.

Talk soon.

Oris.
