Hi Friend,
As much as I love fall, I’m not quite ready to let go of summer just yet.
Last Sunday was the first day it really felt cold in a while; and I felt it. It reminded me how grateful I am for this past season. Summer was warm, full, and meaningful. I shared so much laughter, sunshine, and adventure with loved ones and my local community.
And now, somehow, it’s already mid-September... like it all just started yesterday. School’s back in session, routines are finding their flow again, and for some reason, this month always feels like the start of a new year to me - like a reset. Maybe it’s because BLE’s anniversary falls in August, so in my world, this is technically “January.”
Right now, I’m deep in resetting the moodboards, sketching new ideas, and slowly preparing for what’s next.
And I’m really excited to bring you along.
What Made Summer Special
But first, lets do a summer recap. So much happened this summer; and it was honestly one for the books. Here’s a little peek at what made it so sweet:
- I got to explore more of BC (including a trip to the island)
- I said goodbye to my old studio space, moved into a new one and making it feel more intentional and well thought of.
- I took time off to pause and recalibrate.
Moodboard: September Tones
Back to moodboards, lately, I’ve been drawn to warm tones, and soft textures; all the things fall brings.
This month feels like a season of peace and reflection. So I made a little moodboard to go with that feeling.
A Colorful (Cozy) Fall
Fall might be rolling in, but over here at the studio, we’re still embracing color, boldness, and joy; especially with the holidays on the horizon.
So… here’s the first little secret I’ve been keeping:
